Thunderjo

I always thought my household was not the kind of household that dressed animals up in clothes. Well I was wrong...

Yes thats right, my kitten is wearing a "I'm with Stupid" t-shirt. My boyfriend was in the goodwill store and picked this and a bright orange security jacket up for the cats to wear. Thunderjo doesnt look that mad does he?

5:30 am

It's about 5:20 when I'm woken by my boyfriend because the kittens are crying and he doesn't know what do do. I stagger out of bed and grab the KMR out of the fridge. I open the container and spill it all over my leg. Oops. I feed the kittens, Pig Pen eats too fast and regurges alil on my shirt. I make them use their bowels. I could take a shower, or i could crawl back into bed. I decide on bed and pass out sticky and all.

Meet The Goobers!

These kittens were found wandering around without their mom and were picked up by animal control. They have some sort of eye infection, and as I suspected are developing an upper respitory infection and will need to go into the vets tommorow to go on some clavamox. I'm calling them the goobers as they have major goop in their eyes that I have to clean out.

All vet care is paid for by the shelter I'm fostering for. That includes shots, speutering, and even frontline!! Not all cats and kittens available for foster or adoption are sick. I just dont mind the extra challenge. There are plenty of healthy animals in shelters right now who would love to be living in a home enviroment while they wait for their forever homes.

They will be available for adoption in 4-6 weeks. The adoption fee is $75 for either one or a pair of kittens. They will be super socialized and in great health at the time of adoption. I'll have some better quality photos up as soon as I can figure out why my camera isn't working. Until then I'll be using my camera phone.

Welcome to my Blog

I've been thinking about starting a blog for quite some time now. Today I finally said why the heck not. I plan on writing about my life experiences with rescuing, fostering, and adopting animals in hopes of inspiring others to do the same.

PS
This blog is under construction as I'm new to the whole blogging thing.... so be aware the name and other things might change.
